Customer Reviews of A Walk to Remember
A Soundtrack To Remember I love this soundtrack. There are good songs on it. Mandy Moore is a great singer and actress. In the movie plays Jamie Sullivan, a minister's daughter, and on soundtrack she performs three incredible songs called "Cry" (with a fantastic music video with the intervention of Mandy's costar Shane West), "Only Hope" and "It's Gotta Be Love". Switchfoot also does a great performances on this CD. They begin the soundtrack with "Dare You To Move" that for me is a good song, "You", "Learning To Breathe", and another version of Mandy Moore's "Only Hope".
There is also a duo Mandy Moore and Jonathan Foreman of Switchfoot and perform "Someday We'll Know".
Every song of this CD makes me remember some part of that fantastic and awesome movie.
Buy this soundtrack. It worths the money to pay.
I rate this CD with FIVE stars because it deserves.
A mix of songs characteristic of the movie
This CD is a mix of songs that depict the bad boy character of Shane West and the sweet, innocent character of Mandy Moore. The tracks and my reviews are as follows:
1. Switchfoot-Dare you to move
3 stars (strange beginning)
2. Mandy Moore- Cry
4 1/2 stars (slow and sad)
3. Mandy Moore and Johnathon Foreman-Someday We'll know
5 stars (J.Foreman's voice isn't as nice as Mandy's, but the melody is wonderful)
4. Toploader-Dancing in the Moonlight
4 stars (could be more upbeat)
5. Switchfoot-Learning to Breathe
2 1/2 stars (strange overall)
6. Mandy Moore-Only Hope
5 stars (great lyrics, melody)
7. Mandy Moore-Its gonna be love
4 1/2 stars
8. Switchfoot-you
1 1/2 stars (i rarely listen to it)
9. Rachel Lampa-if you believe
4 1/2 stars
10.Cold- No one
1/2 star (too heavy metal for me-more like shane west's character)
11.West, Gould, and Fitzgerald-so what does it all mean?
2 stars (very weird)
12. New Radicals-Mother, We Just Can't Get Enough
2 stars (again, strange)
13. Switchfoot-Only hope
3 1/2 stars (This guy group doesn't sing it with as sweet or emotionally as Mandy Moore does)
If you like Mandy Moore then you'll probably like only 1/2 the songs in the Cd. Switchfoot and some of the other groups aren't heavy metal or rock, but they have just a different kind of voice.
GREAT!(...)
This c.d. was so(...) great! I liked every single song, and I listen to it all the time! It was a mixture of everything, and everyone could love it! A must buy! My Favorite Songs:
1. Dancing In The Moonlight
2. My Only Hope
3. Someday We'll Know
