Customer Reviews of 6th Grade Can Really Kill You
A Wonderful Book! The book I read was Sixth Grade Can Really Kill You. The book was endlessly funny because of Helen's great sense of humor. It was about a girl named Helen who thinks this year might be better than most. There are some neat people in her class such as her friend , Louise, Leon, Jack and even Elsie Edwards. Helens teacher turns out to be Mrs.Lobb. Mrs.Lobb makes things so hard for Helen that she decides to live up to her nick name ..... BAD HELEN. Being bad is fun until Helen finds out she might have to stay back a year and that's the last thing she wants to do. What will it take for Helen to get out of trouble when she has been in it for so long? You will have to read the book to find out ! I recommend this book to kids who are having a hard time in the sixth grade.
Great Book Thrilling Adventure
The book Sixth Grade can Really kill you is one of the best books i have read this year. It starts with a girl named Helen she is a girl who has trouble reading and writing. the worst thing that she thinks that has happened to her this year is that she does not get the teacher that she wants she got Mrs.lobb and she is not all she is cracked up to be but, helen has her crush in her class his name is Jimmy. None of her friends are in her class. But, lives up to her nickname "Bad Helen" by doing stuff to Mrs.Lobb. Her mom is really on her back about getting good grades but, is really nice about it. Helen also has a birthday coming up and has a skating party. Well that is all i am going to tell you now you will have to read the book.
I love this book
I had read this book 10 years ago when I was in the 6th grade and it was definitely one of my favourites. It was funny reading about the pranks Helen played on Mrs. Lobb, but the teacher was really unfair towards her. Overall, the book was well written descriptively and made me feel as though I was watching a movie at the same time. There is nothing wrong with seeking help with reading, but it is also very common for kids to be cruel towards someone who's different, which is unfair. This book showed that Helen may have had a learning disability, but shows talent in other areas such as math, art, music and sports and is a very bright and articulate individual. I also enjoyed reading about her spending time with her friends at birthday parties and what a fun Christmas she had.
