Customer Reviews of 4 Stage Feeding Set
Piece of Junk I got this feeding chair as a baby shower gift and thought it looked great. I love products that convert as your baby grows, in order to give the item a longer use. I agree with the above reviews in that it is easy to assemble, wash and convenient for travel, but there are also many drawbacks to this item. First off the chair straps seem flimsy. If the stop-flap in the back is not bent properly it will come right back out when pulled. I also don't like the fact that if the chair you are going to strap it to is not deep enough, the booster seat hangs off the end quite a bit making you wonder if the straps hooking it to the chair shouldn't be a bit more reinforced. This is something to consider BEFORE you assemble the seat because you CANNOT completely dissamble it for a return or exchange once you snap the back on. Once you try to use it for toddlers withought the front tray, be sure it fits under the table because mine did not, keeping the child too far away to reach his food and making his knees hit the edge of the table. But what I found most frustrating about this chair is that it takes big strong hands to push the buttons in order to change the recline position. In all, I think the chair serves its function if you happen to have the right sized table and chairs for it- otherwise be ready for a return to the store.
Perfect size for your kitchen AND your baby!
I love this chair. I too shopped for chairs and said "My word - these are HUGE!" I have a normal size kitchen but I still couldn't see putting one of those other chairs in it as a permanent fixture. This chair is perfect - it securely sits on one of my dining table chairs (it's cloth, so I put a towel over it that gets washed often!) and my daughter has fit perfectly in it since she was 4 months old. She's now a year, and we've dropped it to the second level, and she still fits great! I expect to continue using this as a booster when she is ready to sit at the table like a big girl without the tray. I especially loved the reclining feature when she was real young - it kept her from sliding out of the thing like she did in regular chairs. And the portability is awesome! Quickly snap it off and toss it in the car when you go to Grandma's or friends - it's really lightweight and fits to any chair. On another note - my daughter is fairly tall for her age - 95th % - however she still looks small and about to slide under the tray when she uses her older cousin's "big" high chair. She does have a great time kicking the tray and has wedged her toes under the front lip to pop it off - but only because I had not secured the tray in the locking positions on each side. Once I corrected that she can't do anything to get the tray off.
We love this seat
We got this seat when my son was 5 months old, and I wish we'd had it even sooner! I thought we'd want a traditional highchair, but a few moms in my playgroup recommended getting one that attaches to a regular chair - I'm really glad we took their advice. This one was really simple to put together, and I love that it takes up virtually no extra room. It's a great seat -- one of our best baby purchases so far.
