finally coming together for alex For starters, I probably would have given this album 3 1/2 stars if that were an option. Still, this is a VERY solid effort from the Visionary and ShapeShifter member. The album starts a little slow, but definitely picks up momentum throughout, and ends in stellar fashion, probably peaking at 'escape from the toyota matrix' w/lmno. lyrically, it is solid as a rock, but some of the beats are a little plain for my liking, but regardless if you are a fan of the west-coast underground sound, this album is a must have. 2Mex has definitely improved over the years, if you told me 3 years ago that 2mex would bring enough heat to carry a solo effort of his own, i would have told you to get off the pipe. Props to this hard working and humble mc for a worthy release.
