The sound quality is superb for an early CD, and in the insert you get one page of liner notes by Quincy Jones and another by Steve Hoffman [who compiled the disc] and Diana Haig, along with a partial discography [no chart details].

I would love to get my hands on Volume 1 and may try and seek it out through the "used" feature in Amazon.
